The TSA is a software based solution that enhances, streamlines and simplifies the use of both Contact based and Contactless Smart Cards.

The TSA enables a user to securely access systems and even the laptop itself by using their Smart Card.  However for ease of use, once authenticated the card can be removed from the device and still allow secure access to applications.  After a period of inactivity, the screen on the device goes black to ensure personal information is not seen and the device is effectively “locked”.  To unlock, the user simply enters their 4 digit PIN number and the device is returned to full working state, including application access.
